Mr. Deependra Prashad is an Architect/ Planner & the Director of INTBAU India (the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism), handling Projects in Participatory community based planning for urban regeneration in derelict areas & resource efficient architectural design. He is coordinating various activities of the India chapter and is a member of the INTBAU International College of Chapters.

He is also involved in:

-Research & Building work in construction projects in ecological and energy efficient building.

-Consulting Govt. of India & NGO’s, on issues of appropriate building materials, rainwater harvesting and community based planning for educational infrastructure development.

- Coauthored & Editor of the Blue Drops Series for UN-Habitat on “Rainwater Harvesting practices across the world” & the INTBAU publication on "New Architecture and Urbanism: Development of Indian Traditions"

- Teaching Sustainable & Energy Efficient architecture, at the premier Indian School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Teaching the “Future of Cities” program at the post graduate dept of Urban Design.
